Medicare Guidance You Can Trust
Turning 65 or already enrolled? We'll walk you through every Medicare option — Advantage, Supplement, and Part D — so you choose with confidence, not confusion.
Understanding Your Medicare Options
Medicare is not one-size-fits-all. Original Medicare (Parts A & B) covers hospital and medical services, but it leaves gaps. That's where Medicare Advantage plans, Medigap Supplement policies, and Part D drug plans come in — and choosing the right combination can make a significant difference in your out-of-pocket costs.
As an independent agent, we compare plans from multiple carriers to find what works best for your health needs, your doctors, and your budget. Our consultations are always free.
Medicare Plan Types Explained
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
An all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. Most plans include Part D drug coverage and may offer extra benefits like dental, vision, and hearing. Often has lower premiums but uses a network of providers.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Works alongside Original Medicare to cover cost-sharing gaps like deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. Gives you predictable costs and the freedom to see any Medicare-accepting provider nationwide.
Part D Prescription Drug Plans
Standalone drug coverage that works with Original Medicare or a Medigap policy. Plans vary widely in which drugs they cover and at what cost — we'll compare formularies to find the best fit for your medications.
When to Enroll
Missing your Initial Enrollment Period can result in permanent late-enrollment penalties. We'll make sure you know your key dates and don't miss a window.
Initial Enrollment Period
A 7-month window around your 65th birthday — 3 months before, the month of, and 3 months after. This is your primary enrollment opportunity.
Annual Enrollment Period
October 15 – December 7 each year. Switch between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage, or change your Part D drug plan.
Special Enrollment Period
If you're still working and covered by employer insurance past 65, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period when that coverage ends.
