ACA Health Insurance Made Simple
The Affordable Care Act Marketplace offers quality health coverage for individuals and families — and you may qualify for significant savings. We'll help you find the right plan at the right price.
What Is ACA Health Insurance?
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) created the Health Insurance Marketplace — a place where individuals, families, and self-employed Texans can shop for and enroll in health coverage. Plans must cover essential health benefits including doctor visits, hospital stays, prescriptions, preventive care, and more.
As an independent agent, we help you compare plans from multiple carriers, understand your subsidy eligibility, and enroll — all at no cost to you. Our guidance is unbiased because we work for you, not the insurance companies.
Who Can Enroll?
Most Texans who don't have access to affordable employer coverage can enroll in an ACA Marketplace plan.
- Individuals and families without employer-sponsored insurance
- Self-employed workers and freelancers
- Part-time workers not offered benefits
- Those who recently lost job-based coverage
- Early retirees not yet eligible for Medicare
- Anyone whose income qualifies for premium tax credits
Enrollment Periods
Open Enrollment
The annual window when anyone can enroll in or change their ACA plan. Typically runs November 1 through January 15 for coverage starting the following year.
Special Enrollment Period
Qualifying life events — like losing coverage, getting married, having a baby, or moving — trigger a 60-day window to enroll outside of Open Enrollment.
You May Pay Less Than You Think
Many Texans qualify for premium tax credits that significantly reduce their monthly costs. Depending on your household income and size, you may qualify for a plan with very low or even $0 monthly premiums. We'll run the numbers with you — for free.
